I had a chance to have a phone interview with actor/rapper Terrence C Ward aka T.C.Real who grew up in Detroit, Michigan and is also an usher for the Detroit Tigers. He told me how singing and acting were always a part of his life growing up. He had his first acting debut on the Eminem movie 8 mile, where he played a variety of parts especially as a Stand-In for character the DJ Iz and is 7th person in the freestyle Rap Battle on 8 mile DVD and because of that performance he was upgraded to SAG as a Rapper. Terrence has 40 films under his belt including the Fast and Furious 8 and television shows like Empire. He is currently on the shows, APB which airs on FOX and NBC's Chicago Fire and PD, so next time you are watching, look for Terrence C Ward. It was a pleasure to speak to him and get to know him. And ladies...he is single!

I just watched the trailer for Distortion, a feature film directed by Javier Espinosa and it is an depiction of the reality of what social media has done to our society. Social media has become a part of our every day lives and the reality of where it is something that can take control of us. This film projects the dark side of social media and how it really affects us as our generation does not understand that what is in the palm of their hand can turn instantly into a monster. Check out this informative film to get a better understanding of the lost reality of social media.

I just stumbled on a great web series called Horizon and it really is amazing. It is like the best of both worlds, taking the concept of Lost and the Walking Dead and putting a different spin on it with an Alien invasion. I am enjoying this series based out in the U.K and I think it should be taken seriously. It is Produced by Hanover Pictures and CBA Productions and the story centers around the lives of 5 people when a mysterious ship appears over the City of Bristol England. It was put out a year ago and they are currently shooting Season 2 of the Multi-Award Winning SciFi series and it is getting even more enticing. Check out this web series currently on YouTube and see how great it is.
If you enjoy shows like The New Girl ad The Mindy Project then you should out check We're Not Friends on YouTube because it is about two unlikely 20 something year olds who try to be roommates while being polar opposites of each other. This fantastic series was created, produced and directed by Ashley Bornancin and Don DiPetta, who also start in the series as well and this series was also a Semi-Finalist for the LA Cinefest. The first season is already streaming on YouTube, so grab some wine and chill while you enjoy some great laughter.
Here is my interview with Astra from Astra On The Air from 92.3 AMP Radio NY and listen to her in the afternoon from 3pm - 7pm.
1. Where you from and where did you grow up?
Born and raised in NY!! I was born in NYC, and grew up on Long Island and now I'm back in NYC!
2. What inspired you to become a radio disc jockey?
I was a child model growing up, so being in the public eye was something that I truly enjoyed doing. My passion was to do television, however my big break came when I was working at a radio station, so I went with it...and the rest is history.
3. What is your favorite/ and worst part of radio and your job?
Everything about it is my favorite! There's nothing bad about it! I mean where else can you listen to music all day long, and talk about your favorite celebrities? It's like a win/win!
4. What is the best/ and worst thing that happened to you on the radio?
The best thing is being able to touch the lives of your listeners through your stories. It's always great when a listener comes up to you and relives something that you spoke about on air that clearly touched them. Sometimes I may not ever remember what they are talking about, but apparently it struck a chord with them that they wanted to re-live it with me.
The WORST thing that has ever happened is every radio persons nightmare - DEAD AIR! Ugh! No one ever wants to be "that person" that has dead air on the radio station...but it happens to the best of us.
5. What is your favorite song?
That's such a hard question to ask because it's forever changing. With all of the constant music coming out, it seems like we have a new song every week! So it wouldn't be fair for me to say which ones are my favorite today, because my answer may change tomorrow.
6. Do you get to meet any celebrities and which ones are your favorite?
Always! Doing interviews are one of my favorite things! Over the years, I've spoken with pretty much every big pop star out there! You're welcome to see tons of my celebrity photos on my facebook page - www.facebook.com/astraontheairfans

7. Was there any celebrity you met that changed your impression about them once your met them?
Everyone always goes into meeting another individual with some preconceived thoughts. From the bad press they may receive, to the encounters they may have had with fellow co-workers, everyone always has an opinion of someone (celebrity or "regular" person) I try not to allow those things to get in the way with my own encounter of a person. Just like you and I, celebrities have bad days too and maybe we get them on those days, or maybe we get them on their good days, but there have been many instances where I've met someone and they weren't very nice, but the next time I met them they were the sweetest person ever...and vice versa. It happens.
8. Where you want your career to take you in 10 years?
I am hoping to add television to my repertoire because I have always had a passion for being an on air television reporter - preferably in the entertainment industry. I'm not saying that I would leave radio, I would just love to add TV to my daily duties too!
